I’m Danny Skarpnes. For three years this has been infrastructure, identity, and security for companies that needed someone senior without hiring a department. AI work is the same motion: make the tools you already bought actually show up in the job.
The work
Senior IT without the theater.
Most of the companies I work with outgrew “the person who also does IT.” They need identity, endpoints, and a network that doesn’t fall over — not a slide deck about a SOC they don’t have.
IT & security
- Identity: SSO, MFA, lifecycle, least privilege that people will actually follow
- Endpoint and device: the fleet, the policies, the boring hygiene that stops the easy incidents
- Network and access: VPN, DNS, wifi, the path from laptop to the thing that matters
- Ops: backups, vendor sprawl, the runbook so it isn’t only in one head
What this is not
- Not a 24/7 SOC or outsourced helpdesk. If you need a watch floor, hire one.
